13 Colony Project
Students will be given an in class project to complete about a specific colony. Students will be given the follow directions below and will be graded on the rubric below. Students should only possibly complete notes outside of class to help inform their project.

You have chosen a Region specialty. Within your region you will be working on a smaller project.
Region Project - Everyone in your region will collaborate together to create a brochure which includes the following topics:
Colony Project -
You have chosen a topic to be an expert in. You and your partner will collaborate to create one of the following projects:
Be a Museum Docent (G2 or G3)
Choose one colony from your Region. You will be teaching other 5th graders about your topic and colony. You need to choose a way to present your information. Here are your choices:
- identify the three main regions of colonies
- know the unique characteristics of the three regions of colonies
- choose from the following regions: New England Colonies, Middle Colonies and Southern Colonies
- work with a teammate on one specific colony out of the 13 colonies
You have chosen a Region specialty. Within your region you will be working on a smaller project.

- Housing/Daily Life
- Trade/Goods
- 2/3 Important People
- Religion/Government
